Hand-made in Australia, we use sustainably sourced fabrics, like our signature eco-crinkle, to reduce waste through small-batch and made-to-order production.

Cleonie (klee-oh-nee): of Ancient Greek origins, meaning Goddess of the Water. 

She is an homage to Mother Nature, inspired by the ocean’s rhythm and sun-drenched summer days. A protector of the planet, every decision rooted in a commitment to tread lightly. A muse and a maker; the alchemy of timeless design and effortless style, infused with the carefree spirit of the sea.

Born under the Australian sun, Cleonie is created in the imagination of Kitty Scott; a self-proclaimed mermaid, lover of the ocean and creative in the winds. Sparked from a pursuit of passion and purpose, her unique vision weaves hand-painted designs with sustainable fabrication to form soul-nourishing swimwear that’s gentler on the planet.

A long-time sun worshipper, Kitty has always adored beautiful summer apparel and the creative process of making something from a piece of cloth and a flicker of an idea. She is a graduate of RMIT University and studied fashion abroad in London, Milan and Paris at the infamous Instituto Maringoni.

For Kitty, Cleonie is not just a mythological goddess, but a family name woven into the fabric of her history. Passed down through the last six generations of women, each a talented seamstress, the depth of love and tradition in this lineage of artistry  can be felt in every stitch.
